Although I create my glass to be enjoyed as fine art – not a functional ware – I do get asked about using my pieces for serving food. Unless a piece is a commission with clear glass top layer, I cannot guarantee it’s food safe. My kiln glass process has multiple firings – including casting thicker pieces in molds – which enables me to get something that looks more like blown than fused glass. Small Business Saturday? Yes, Please.

HOLIDAY GLASS SCHEDULE…   First, Happy Thanksgiving!! Had a great time in Rock Hill, SC last weekend (Nov. 20-21) with Harriet Goode and Alfred D. Ward in Gallery 5 group show! Sold some glass & made a lot of new friends. Missed me in Rock Hill? I’ll have new glass for sale – starting from $65 – this coming Saturday, Nov. 28 from 11am to 2pm in uptown Charlotte. I’ll be joining a little pop up event – with friends from Two Bottles Wine Co. – at Packard Place. #SmallBusinessSaturday  (PARKING UPTOWN – street parking is free. The parking deck immediately preceding Packard Place – first right after crossing 4th Street – is $5 all day as long as not otherwise posted!)     (There is still one spot left in my Saturday, Dec. 5 – Slumpy’s CLASS.
