The Hambidge Center... (Part 2, 12.15.18)

While there are myriad of different artist residencies all over the world, each fits the artists in as many various ways! If you love nature, the mountains, or are looking for a renewing, incredibly beautiful place to recharge your creative work, apply to The Hambidge Center for the Creative Arts & Sciences!!

Towards the end of my residency at The Hambidge Center, I was finally able to capture the rain with powerful imagery. (These will be showing up in my 2019 water works:)

Can almost feel the visual parallels between this painting style and the rain photos…

Here you can see how I cut paper circle templates to find “circles” in the painted parts.

I had to drive to The Hambidge Center “proper” the nights we shared meals or other gatherings. This was my view driving back to my “house” each time!!
