CARMELLA JARVI'S ART | GLASS | SHIPPING FAQ:

PAINTING NOTES: Unless specified, all paintings are unframed.

Artist uses archival materials and professional acrylic paints. Panels have hanging hardware on back.

Contact the artist for advice/questions regarding framing.

GENERAL GLASS NOTES:

Each piece is completely unique and one of a kind.

Glass needs to be well lit to fully appreciate depth and intricacies of hand made beauty.

Glass likes to be cleaned often. (Though will look fabulous even when not.)

The artist uses gorgeous Bullseye Glass — made in Portland, OR. Colors online will be slightly different in person. (Can’t control color on monitors/screens.)

COMMISSIONS: Carmella Jarvi enjoys creating custom commissions for clients, whether residential, commercial or for healthcare industry. Depending on the scale and complexity, could take up to six months from signing contract to installation. Contact artist to discuss.

CLEANING: Glass is strong, but hand made. Treat with care. (Glass likes to be cleaned often.) Clean with soft cloth and vinegar Windex, rubbing alcohol or other mild glass cleaner. If you use “museum gel” to secure the glass bottom, use a tiny bit in several places. After pushing glass firmly in place, will hold until the item is twisted to remove.

Artist will send Museum Gel if glass needs it. IF client has kids (or animals that roam), please request Museum Gel. Very important to use separate cloth/paper towel to clean museum gel off glass. Will leave a residue. (Museum Gel is reusable.)

INSTALLATION: Glass is fine outside — if intended** for exterior display.

[Check with artist** if unsure. If you live in area where it freezes, talk with her to make sure it’s okay to install your piece outside.]

Bullseye Glass and Hang Your Glass products have been tested — and have no problems** — in extreme heat and cold temps.

Wall mounted pieces use Hang Your Glass system — including special glass adhesive — and, are totally fine installed outdoors**.

If installing on exterior wall (like outdoor kitchen/ entertaining area), must use extra long fasteners/screws/anchors (totally sealed from elements… able to expand/contract as temps change) that will not dislodge with extended exposure to weather. Jarvi suggests there’s an overhang or covering shielding the piece.

Wall mounted groups come with paper template to make installation/arrangement easy.

SHIPPING: Packaging art is flat $25 fee PLUS whatever the shipping cost is.

The additional shipping fee will be determined/paid after initial purchase.

IF near Canyon Lake, TX — delivery/pick up can be arranged with artist.

NOTE: Though it’s never happened, IF your glass/art arrives damaged, take LOTS of pictures of box, packing, and damaged glass/art. Keep all packaging. Keep everything.

Immediately notify BOTH the shipping carrier AND the artist of the damage.

A file claim with carrier will be initiated right away.
